The Nightmare Before Christmas - For Annual Subscribers
9 3078

By 1993 audiences had become accustomed to Tim Burton’s dark, gothic style. We also had seen him depict goth, cold, snowy Christmases in both Batman Returns and Edward Scissorhands. Those two live-action films seem like a build-up to Burton’s now-classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. Though he handed the directing reigns to Henry Selick, Burton’s fingerprints are all over this stop-motion fairy tale he wrote and produced. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Now Playing hosts join Jack Skellington and Sandy Claws in Christmas Town. Is the film a great present, or a lump of coal in our hosts’ stockings?
